EMILE DAWISHA

For 20 years, Emile Dawisha has served as a dynamic content creator and relationship-builder - first as a local reporter and then as a Chicago community fundraiser, before transitioning into the international development sector. For seven years, he oversaw major gifts and communications at the UN Foundation’s United to Beat Malaria campaign, mobilizing a wide range of stakeholders - including donors, influencers, and advocates from across the U.S.; local and global NGO’s; Members of Congress; and multinational corporations - to take action against malaria. During his tenure at Beat Malaria, Emile had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of current/former refugees and conduct content collection missions in refugee communities in Uganda.

At RefuSHE, Emile works closely with our Board of Directors and Kenya staff to strengthen our development and communications operations, helping expand RefuSHE’s community and deepen engagement with its stakeholders.

Based in Chicago, Emile is a proud father of two young children.
