When you EmpowerHER, you invest in a better future for all.

Research shows that when we invest in girls’ education, we transform communities, countries, and the entire world. For as little as $10 a month, you can help fund the education of a refugee girl and change the world.

Join our community of allies committed to education for refugee girls and you will receive:

RefuSHE takes a holistic approach to education.

The unaccompanied, separated, and orphaned refugee girls and young women we serve are among the world’s most vulnerable population. They have experienced the acute effects of war, and in many cases kidnapping, rape, trafficking, detainment, and torture. Many of them have lost their families, livelihoods, and ability to go to school. That means they require a holistic set of interventions that are trauma-informed and tailored to their unique needs.

RefuSHE’s Girls Empowerment Program (GEP) is an alternative education program that prepares refugee girls and young women with the skills they need to rebuild their lives and upstart their entrepreneurial futures. Refugees across the globe face a range of legal, administrative, and practical barriers that prevent their economic inclusion and limit their access to schooling, work, and financial capital. The GEP provides refugee girls with the unique opportunity to complete their education and develop the skills they need to earn an income.
