EFFIE COOKE
Teresa Effie Cooke is an accomplished People & Culture Executive, Governance Advisor, and Management Consultant with more than 25 years of experience leading organizational transformation, culture-building, and leadership development across Africa. She is the Managing Director of Capability Trust Limited, a leadership development and HR advisory firm that partners with organizations to strengthen governance systems, build high-performance cultures, and develop resilient, values-driven leaders.
Effie has held senior strategic roles in international development and renewable energy, including with Opportunity International, where she supported people strategy and organizational growth across emerging markets, and d.light Design, a global solar energy and social enterprise company. At d.light, she served as Global Senior Director of People & Culture, overseeing multi-country HR operations and leading major initiatives in leadership capability, culture transformation, and organizational effectiveness.
She currently serves as the Board Chair of OmniBSIC Bank, providing strategic direction and governance leadership in support of the bank’s growth, risk management, and long-term sustainability.
