KEVINA MUGWE
Chief Fundraising Officer
Kevina has over 15 years’ experience in fundraising and communications in the not-for-profit and international development sector, leading and helping organizations achieve their target income, fundraising, and communications goals. She joined RefuSHE in 2023 after working for several years in the UK and Kenya, where she developed successful fundraising strategies and cultivated and managed donor relationships.
Kevina is an excellent communicator and has led organizations in increasing their brand awareness and visibility within the international sector. She is passionate and committed to making a true difference in women’s lives by amplifying their voices and advocating for changes to laws and policies across the world that ensure their rights and advocate for a world where girls and women don’t just survive, but thrive.
As the Chief Fundraising Officer at RefuSHE, she leads the organization’s income generation and business development strategy, oversees the grants portfolio, manages donor relationships, and assists the executive team in strategy development and implementation. She also oversees RefuSHE’s monitoring and evaluation process as an important source of knowledge management and learning.
Kevina has an MA in Marketing Communications from University of Westminster Business School and has studied Public Relations from the London School of Public Relations. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Community Development from Daystar University.
