Jailan is a social impact strategist who believes in the power of market-based approaches to tackle and solve complex global challenges. She has spent her career building the capacity of impact-driven initiatives around the world. As Uplift’s Sr. Manager of Programs and Partnerships, she is working to connect innovative cross-sector partners with visionary investors to mobilize the resources need to support the global community’s ability to effectively eradicate ultra-poverty once and for all.
Prior to Uplift, Jailan designed and managed social impact and corporate social responsibility programs for philanthropists, organizations, and Fortune 500 corporations with Amplifier Strategies, Taproot, and PYXERA Global. Jailan has forged mutually beneficial relationships between diverse stakeholders from the private, public, and social sectors. She has worked with partners from the IT, health, food, agriculture, finance, transportation, and tourism sectors in countries including the United States, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa, Morocco, India, Tunisia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. A travel enthusiast since childhood, Jailan has designed global fluency trainings and cross-cultural experiences that bring joy and encourage global understanding.
Jailan holds a BA in International Affairs and a Master’s in Tourism from The George Washington University.
