Geoffrey Thige, Chief Operating Officer
Geoffrey Thige has over 20 years of leadership and professional experience in international non-governmental organizations and corporate firms. In his various roles, he has overseen the efficient provision of financial, technical, and management expertise in line with the organization’s strategic goals and mission. As Chief Operations Officer for Opportunity International Kenya, Geoffrey was responsible for building the capacity of the institution to more effectively and efficiently translate its mission and core values into day-to-day implementation. Geoffrey possesses expertise in institutional and operational turn-around, financial management, transformation and social performance management, micro-finance administration, multiple donor fund reporting, planning and budgetary control, human resources, and administrative oversight. He has an MBA from the University of Nairobi, and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
